Welcome to PaySafer. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making any transactions.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using PaySafer's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
2. Service Description
PaySafer provides a secure escrow payment platform that facilitates transactions between buyers and sellers in Nigeria. We hold funds in escrow until delivery is confirmed and all conditions are met.
3. Product and Service Requirements
- All goods and services must meet the requirements agreed upon by both parties, including measurements, sizes, color, quantity, quality, and delivery duration.
- Sellers must deliver exactly what was ordered. We do not tolerate discrepancies between what was ordered and what was received.
- Maximum days of delay must be communicated and agreed upon before the transaction begins.
- Goods must be delivered in good condition as specified in the transaction agreement.
4. Payment Terms
- Full payment must be made and locked in escrow before goods or services are released.
- Payments are held securely by PaySafer until the buyer confirms successful delivery.
- PaySafer charges a service fee for facilitating transactions, which is clearly displayed before payment confirmation.
5. Complaints and Disputes
- All complaints must be submitted through the PaySafer platform and will be verified by our team.
- Buyers cannot raise complaints on goods or services after clicking "Confirmed OK" in the app.
- Disputes must be raised within the agreed delivery timeframe or within 24 hours of receiving the goods/services.
- PaySafer will mediate disputes fairly by reviewing evidence from both parties.
6. Delivery and Verification
- Both parties must maintain proper communication during the delivery process, including sharing waybill information.
- Delivery of goods must be verified through receipts, photos, or other proof of delivery.
- Buyers are required to inspect goods upon delivery and confirm satisfaction before funds are released.
7. Returns and Refunds
- If goods do not meet the requirements agreed upon by both parties and need to be returned, the buyer will bear the cost of return shipping (waybill).
- Once the returned goods are verified, PaySafer will issue a full payment refund to the buyer, excluding the service charge.
- Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days after verification.
8. Platform Limitations
- PaySafer is solely responsible for facilitating secure payments and holding funds in escrow.
- We do not involve ourselves in price negotiations, delivery logistics, or product quality beyond dispute resolution.
- Both parties must negotiate and settle price, delivery terms, and product specifications independently.
- PaySafer will not be held responsible for any failed transactions that take place outside the mobile application.
9. Prohibited Activities
- Fraudulent transactions or misrepresentation of goods/services
- Using the platform for illegal activities
- Attempting to bypass PaySafer's escrow system by conducting off-platform transactions
- Harassment, threats, or abuse towards other users
- Creating multiple accounts to evade restrictions
10. Penalties and Account Suspension
- Defaulters of these Terms and Conditions are liable to fines, account suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.
- Repeated violations or fraudulent behavior will result in blacklisting across all PaySafer business platforms.
- Users found engaging in illegal activities will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
11. Limitation of Liability
PaySafer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our platform, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
12. Modifications to Terms
PaySafer reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in Nigerian courts.
14. Account Deletion
You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your PaySafer account and associated personal data at any time. Please read the following carefully before submitting a request:
- Permanent action: Account deletion is irreversible. Once processed, your account, profile, and personal data cannot be recovered.
- Pending transactions: All active or pending escrow transactions must be resolved before your account can be deleted. Deletion requests submitted with open transactions will be subject to manual review.
- Wallet balance: Any remaining wallet balance must be withdrawn prior to deletion. Unretrieved funds will be handled in accordance with our dormant account policy.
- Data retention: Certain transaction records, dispute history, and financial data may be retained for up to 7 years in compliance with Nigerian financial regulations, even after account deletion.
- Processing time: Deletion requests are reviewed and processed within 3–5 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.
